Private Lessons
I offer private saxophone lessons in the Atlanta area. I am not currently affiliated with a music store or school, but rather trach strictly on a case-by-case basis. All arrangements will be made on an individual basis.

Saxophone:
- I teach all types of saxes. Most of my students are beginning alto sax players.
Doubles:
- I also teach woodwind doubling, either from sax to clarinet/flute or from clarinet/flute to sax.
Jazz:
- I also will work on all facets of jazz playing, from basic concepts to improvisation.
Musical Vita
- Currently in the private studio of Mace Hibbard.
- Since the 2006-2007 school year I have been in the Music Education program (emphasis on Jazz Studies) at Georgia State University.
- Lead tenor sax for four and a half years with the Purdue University Jazz Band and a total of three years playing various saxes with the Symphonic Band. I also was a guest soloist (tenor saxophone) with the Symphony Orchestra. In the summer of 2000 the PJB went on a European tour and played at (amoung other places) the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland.
(1996 through 2001) - Member of the 1996 Grammy Association's Regional (Midwest) All-Star Big Band, playing bari sax, and finalist for the Nation All-Star Big Band.
- Lead alto, bari sax & assorted woodwinds (bass clarinet, contra-bass clarinet, etc.) in the State Champion Valparaiso High School "A" Band under the direction of Robert Miller (1995) and Daniel Pritchett (1996).
(1995 & 1996) - Four years in the VHS Jazz Ensemble, during which time I played lead alto, bari sax and second tenor. I also played for several years in the second and third jazz bands (concurrently with playing in Jazz Ensemble) and led numerous sax sectionals and played doubles (flute, clarinet, and bass clarinet) on many occasions.
- During my time at VHS, I took Jazz Improvisation twice, the latter of which I co-taught the class, took a jazz combo to the Purdue Jazz Festival and co-wrote several songs with a classmate, Tom Oram.
- Lead alto with the VHS "B" Band under the direction of Daniel Pritchett. We also went to the Indiana State Championships during this year. (1994)
- During middle school, my father, brother and I played for several years with a small community jazz group called "The Eighth Notes", which met in the band leaders basement and played at several school gyms throughout Northwest Indiana.
