October 1, 2005 @ 4pm, played 2nd tenor with Charlie Blum and the Star Orchestra for a benefit for the victims of Katrina at the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve in Chesterton, IN. Dell Knickerbocker asked me to sit in for the regular person who couldn't make this gig. Lisa, dad, mom & Jim all made it out. Very nice gig, lots of fun, tight band. Played a lot of classic songs like "Fever", "Sing, Sing, Sing", and a few Sinatra made famous, among others. Ray Grivetti on lead alto, Dell Knickerbocker on lead tenor, Charlie Blum singing vocals. Hopefully if they need a sax again they'll give me a call.
